Currently, the record for the longest six in Indian Premier League history is held by former South African all-rounder Albie Morkel. Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Kieron Pollard was on fire as he smacked the biggest six in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday. Pollard was batting first at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai when he played a quick fire knock of 35 from 22 balls to help Mi to a struggling 150/5.

Pollard hit a total of three sixes including the biggest hit so far in the ongoing season. In the 17th over of MI’s innings, Pollard hit spinner Mujib ur Rahman for a huge six in the deep mid-wicket region. It was a monstrous hit of 105 meters which became the biggest six in this edition.
Pollard surpassed RCB star Glenn Maxwell, who hit 100m sixes earlier this season. Pollard (105m), Maxwell (100m), Surya Kumar Yadav (99m), Manish Pandey (96m), Abdul Samad (93m) have the biggest sixes in IPL 2021 so far.
With three sixes in his useful cameo, Pollard achieved an elusive record as he became only the third foreign batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to hit 200 sixes in the competition. He joins Chris Gayle (351) and AB de Villiers (237) in the list of most sixes by a foreign player in IPL history. Gayle holds the record for most sixes by any batsman in the history of the competition.
Pollard’s cameo along with crucial knocks from Quinton de Kock (40) and Rohit Sharma (32) helped Mumbai Indians to 150/5 on the board in 20 overs. In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a strong start with a 67-run partnership between openers David Warner (36) and Jonny Bairstow (43). However, the middle-order again failed to deliver as the Orange Army lost the plot after the departure of the opening pair to collapse for 137 runs.
